Celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month 2024: A Female Founded Trailblazer in Commercial Debt Recovery
The month of October marks National Women’s Small Business Month 2024, and it is only right that we shine a light on Know-it as a female founded business! Since 2021, the company has been supporting businesses getting paid, but in this blog, we’ll discuss how Know-it began.
Know-it is a business proudly female owned and founded. Lynne Darcey Quigley’s journey to becoming a prominent figure in the commercial debt recovery sector is a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit, but how did she start Know-it?
Well, having worked in credit control for many years, Lynne understood the importance of a robust credit control process for a business and that having a healthy cashflow and getting paid is the key to running a successful business. That’s why Lynne decided to start Darcey Quigley commercial debt recovery in 2007. She saw a gap in the market providing a professional and transparent service to all sizes of businesses across all industries so decided to open Darcey Quigley!
The core mission of Darcey Quigley has always been to get businesses paid and the main driver for this cause is Lynne herself. Lynne’s sheer determination to succeed in the early years has never left her and the perseverance to support other companies is still her main motivating factor.
Darcey Quigley is now over 17 years old, and in 2021, due to the rapid increase in technology, Lynne realised she could create a platform that could help even more businesses manage their cashflow. Although Lynne didn’t come from a tech background and had always worked in finance, she decided to learn more through creating this platform.
A focus within both the Know-it and Darcey Quigley team is empowerment, and guided by Lynne, the team have exceptional knowledge in the commercial debt recovery industry. As CEO, Lynne is very passionate about providing the team with the tools and resources needed to thrive in a business environment.
Throughout Lynne’s career in commercial debt recovery, she has been recognised for her pioneering business expertise and outstanding leadership. Being featured as one of Insider’s top 20 Women to Watch in 2021, Ractonteur 50’s New Frontiers in 2023 and countless other notable awards!
